Hi Peter,
Congratulations on your adventure. We read about the group's progress in the Globe and Mail. I am inspired (grin) - so I am launching an expedition to the Edmonton Mall. The temp. last night in Edmonton was -21 C before windchill.
Stay warm,
Mirka

Greetings South Polers ! You made it ! It's an amazing accomplishment for anyone, let alone "middle-aged men" as the Globe and Mail called you guys this morning !. I know so many people are like me have been watching your progress and thinking about you every time we step outside and shiver in the cold. You may be stranded by the weather but you're clearly in the hearts and minds of everyone up here. The word "stranded" is what led to an introduction to Shelly Losani as we sat in the airport in Montreal waiting for the weather to allow our Toronto flight on the 19th. Sometimes it's such a small world ! Keep your spirits up. Looking forward to raising a glass with you on your full return.

Merry Christmas Team South
Although not your traditional Christmas and no doubt, you'd much rather be home, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
Fred: Your gifts were successfully delivered to the kids. They smiled from ear to ear! Noah loved his helicopter, had it flying in no time, Alex couldn't wait to play with his Diego and Lauren looked beautiful with her earrings on. Without a doudt, there favorites presents this year.
Per our tradition, we had waaaay to much food on Christmas Eve. We even served a small plate of bakala at your usual seating place. We had a moment of silence. Your phone call to us made the evening complete.
But, if you must spend Christmas away from your family, at least you are spending it with great friends who have become as close as family.
Love you and miss you a great deal.
Cheers!

Dear Steve and team, Merry Xmas. Just spoke to the whole family at Judy's except for Liz who had gone to get a present. They are having your "wifesaver" - yuk. Wish you were here in Florida with Garry and I and I also wish I could send a case of cognac. Hope you get home soon.We love you
